Alexander stood with an empire in his hands. Diogenes lay naked in the sun, owning nothing yet richer than all kings. The conqueror said, "Ask anything I can give you the world." Diogenes smiled, "Yes, just move aside, you are blocking my sunlight."
Power still begs, freedom never asks. Alexander had the whole earth yet could not stand where Diogenes was standing. Remember this, the one who needs nothing is always greater than the one who owns everything.
